About Our Founder
William Terry is a qualified chartered surveyor, with experience in both residential and commercial property.
He loves all things property; from looking at beautiful architecture and stunning interior design, negotiating deals, and even learning the vagaries of the planning system.
Will graduated with a First Class BA (with Hons) in Business Economics from the University of Exeter and completed an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading.
He set up a student lettings business at University, and prior to starting Hocroft Estates, worked in commercial property for over 10 years, including 6 years at Land Securities, before returning to his original passion of Estate Agency.
Will’s caring and knowledgeable approach is valued by both former and current clients alike.

Hocroft Estates also collaborates with other companies, helping clients with the sale and rental of residential property.

Why choose Will as your buying agent?
Buying your first home (or next home) can be a stressful and time consuming process, and negotiating directly with an agent could place you at a disadvantage.
Will has an initial consultation with you, where he gets a detailed list of your requirements, he then takes over the search and will whatsapp or email you appropriate properties that match your criteria. He will create a shortlist of properties that we agree are of interest and then handle all the calls and emails from the multiple different agents.
Will arranges the first viewing, which he personally attends, takes a detailed video, and walks the local area to get a feel for the neighbourhood. This filtering process is vital for saving his clients unnecessary time out of their busy days to view properties that end up being completely unsuitable.
If Will finds one or more suitable properties, he will arrange and attend the additional viewings with you (if appropriate), and then negotiate the price on your behalf with the sellers appointed agent.
Each search is tailored to the client’s preferred approach and as such fees are negotiable on a personal basis.

If you are a private individual, or current landlord, needing to let your property, Hocroft Estates would be delighted to assist.
We treat each property like it’s our own and have a rigorous selection process when it comes to finding and vetting applicants.
